Snowfire [of] ShadowClan
The air seemed to become smothered with all the cats' numbers in the clearing quickly multiplying. Standing up, Snowfire stretched her front and hind legs. In front of her, was a mud puddle that seemed to be the same size as her own body. She disliked the idea of getting wet, but she wanted to search for Shadowedheart. Snowfire leaped over the mud puddle and slowly made her way around the other clan cats. Padding over to the edge of the clearing where the bushes were, Snowfire opened the mouth slightly and tried to pick Shadowedheart's scent out from the other clan cats. She slowly walked beside the bushes, while continuing to sniff about. Then she thought she caught a similar scent. Abruptly, she stopped and carefully walked over to one of the bushes to her right.

Snowywhisker sat down quietly. Her thick white fur was plastered to her sides, making her bones visible under her fur. Her body was sharp with hunger, she hadn't thought of eating before coming. Mottledface was up on the rock, and she just stared. "Come on, we need to get moving..." she whispered to herself. The rain was soaking every cat, and they didn't have much more time to waste. Were all the clans here?

Tremblestorm nipped Spottedkit lightly, hissing, "Shush! That's Rainstar, the previous leader of ThunderClan! And Hawkstar, who died when I was apprentice. The leader before Mottledface." She pushed Spottedkit and russetkit in between her legs so that they could watched, and stared up at Rainstar, her light blue eyes gazing intently upon her.
"Hey! Ow, egh... I wanna see!" Spottedkit wailed, and her mother nipped her. "Hey! What was that for!" Her eyes widened as she heard Tremblestorm's explanation, and sat very still between her mother's legs, her light blue eyes mirroring her mother's staring at Rainstar with awe and respect etched on her young face.

The young kitten's tail twitched, and her eyes narrowed as Starclanners appeared. Cloudedkit stared at one, a ginger she-cat. Her optics flashed, continuing to stare at the Starclanner. She was shocked they had come, but wasn't happy about it either. Cloudedkit's tail twitched again, and she averted her gaze to Mottledface. What was going on? [Extremely short. :/ ]

[ Alright. Tried my best to keep up. Sorry if this seems rushed. And here you have it: TA-DA! ]
Mottledface had glanced at Mossflower, her deputy, as her kittens were around her. A pang of guilt hit her as she gave a soft smile. She admired her friend so very much. Although Mottledface had always wanted to have a family, she knew that she had to work on her job for the sake of the Clan. Deep admiration for her deputy having a bigger family – there was no way she would ever demote her. Not until she died. Noticing her Clan and the others milling around, she closed her eyes.
As Verminsoul spoke to her, she could feel her blood pulsing quickly. She wasn't too good with cats of the other Clans who weren't leaders or held a high position. Hearing the gossip about this cat's background made her scoot a bit away from him on the wet rock. “Of course,” she said with a dry tone in her mouth. Although she despised cats with such disloyal pasts, she had to keep her composure in front of the crowd. Grateful eyes moved back down at Mossflower, blinking a thank you at the she-cat for standing beside her. “I doubt StarClan would approve of such an act, Verminsoul,” she said rather sourly, and even held back from calling him Verminpaw. She still carried a terrible bias.
Keeping calm even when Rainstar appeared, Mottledface's eyes grew wide as Hawkstar was shown. Feeling the easygoing feeling that her leader had always given her, she felt the security once again. “I am ready.” It almost sounded like she was declaring that she was ready to go to StarClan, but there were things to be done before that.
Tigerpaw's eyes stared over at Mousepaw, shrugging his shoulder. “I don't know Mousepaw,” he said. So much stuff had happened recently – he learned so many new things; some he wanted to learn and some he did not. Glancing back up a moment later, the dark blue tabby tom knew the voice that spoke to him. Faking a smile, he greeted her as well: “Hello Smolderingpaw!” Although he wasn't as happy as he seemed, he didn't want to worry them or have them notice something was wrong. Something had been on his mind lately and he was just trying his best to avoid thinking about it too much. Tigerpaw's ears perched as he noticed his father nearby. Lionclaw seemed to take Sappyleaf's death harder than him. Tiger had loved his mother greatly, but figured that he shuoldn't show himself being upset for the Clan's sake. He swore that he wouldn't shed a tear or complain about it, not to dishonor her. But the way his father mourned made him envious for his bond with his mother. A sigh of regret escaped his lips as he looked to the side.
His eyes wandered and followed Crookedpaw, watching him guide around Avaricekit. He looked back down at the ground, guilty that he wasn't in as much of a socializing mood. He'd get better though and then he'd be better than his brother! Although he had given up on Fallpaw, he didn't give up on being better than his brother. He froze for a moment as she appeared, approaching his brother. An angry wave went through him and his tail sunk, eyes narrowed with a disturbed look.
He suddenly froze over, even more than earlier. 'She's here,' he whispered in his head. Staring at Dropletkit as she joined the clearing, he watched her movements with caution. She seemed to be okay, which was a good thing. A pang of guilt went through him again as he saw her glancing around for him. Biting his lip, he made eye contact with her for a second before forcefully turning his head the other way. He didn't want her to see him, especially not looking over at her. He focused his attention on Smolderingpaw and Mousepaw. Giving them another fake smile, he was trying his best to push Dropletkit away.
His attention shifted at once as StarClan appeared before them. It was as if they were ghosts, knowing their figures could never be full but would appear hollow. At first it made him tense and scared. He reclined back, pressing onto Mousepaw's side as he tried to regain his composure. He hadn't ever seen a StarClan cat, let alone knew Hawkstar or Rainstar, but just seeing them made him nervous.
Blue eyes shifted as the red-colored pelt turned to face the cat. Sirius had called to him, catching him off-guard. At first he started to snarl, but calmed himself down. With wide eyes for a moment, he stared at the loner. Finally catching his thoughts, he narrowed his eyes slightly. “Why yes, that's what I'm called,” he said with a friendly tone, a calm expression on his face.
Suddenly he whipped around, finding himself face-to-face with his sister. “Morningfrost...,” he spoke her name gently as his eyes were wide with excitement. It had been a while since he had seen his sister or spoke to her. Purring, the rusty tomcat showed an odd affectionate side to him now as he stared at her with love in his eyes. Who could really call this soft tom a rogue?
A scent blew by his nose. He could recognize it anywhere as well. Moving only his eyes, he knew that he could find Shaei nearby. What was that dark, brooding friend of his up to tonight? Not about to give away her position, he simply continued to leave his attention on his kin. Eyes flickered to figures as they appeared in the clearing. Feeling uneasy, he broke away from his sister. Giving her a soft expression and smile he said simply: “I have some business to attend to, Morningfrost. I'll meet up with you later!”
Taking swifter steps away from her as he fell into the shadows, his eyes watched the edge of the clearing as the ghostlike cats spoke. Turning to face the black cat, he stared blankly for a few moments. Curiousity got the best of him, especially now, and he couldn't help but wonder what was going on. “What are you doing here, Shaei?”

Smolderingpaw let out another shiver as the gusty wind grew stronger, bringing with it more rain. Her long brown coat was already slicked against her lithe body giving her the appearance similar to an otter, or at least like a RiverClanner after a swim. As Tigerpaw flashed a smile back at her, repeating her greeting, she could tell his cheeriness was slightly forced. The tom-cat seemed under pressure, she could tell by his unusual silence, though she was not going to be one to bother him about it. If Tigerpaw had wanted to share his troubles he would have by now, and the apprentice certainly wasn't about to pry.
Her ears swiveled forward curiously as she noticed Verminsoul speak and take the spot up on the GreatRock customary for WindClan leader. It sort of soothed her nerves to know that there were still cats who would step up and take care of their clan before themselves, especially in such a time a trial as they were all in now.
Turning her head away again, her brilliant blue-green gaze fell on the direction of ThunderClan territory, the TallPines just visible from the hollow. Knowing that the clans' time to leave the forest was near, Smolderingpaw had grown very emotional as of late. Her heart was in this forest; she was born here, even though not in a clan. It was almost difficult for herself to believe that StarClan was there with them, guiding the four clans out of the forest and leaving behind all they ever knew. How would they know that StarClan wouldn't abandon them?
Just as this thought crossed her mind, as if a reaction for her sudden lack of faith in her warrior ancestors, Rainstar appeared. The pretty tabby she-cat let out a soft gasp, blinking violently as if to clear the sight from her eyes. She must be seeing things! But the glittering StarClanner did not fade away, she was still positioned at the base of the GreatRock. Her shock and surprise turned into awe fairly quickly; before herself and the other clancats was the ghost of one of the greatest leaders the clans had known. She had heard stories of Rainstar as a kit, and excitement tingled her paws as she momentarily forgot her depression of leaving her home.

Hawkstar gave her usual half-grin that seemed to be on her ginger-orange maws throughout the whole day. The move pleased her-- lately as she padded through the forest in her ghostly form, the forest seemed a bit... haunting. Was the rumor that the Shadowlands cats invading the forest true? Probably not, Hawkstar hadn't seen any sightings of the hell-cats. The strength of her deputy put courage and pride through Hawkstar. She gave a short nod, and turned her fierce, hawklike green eyes onto the rest of the Clancats. Some seemed weak, others mischievous, some brave, others cowardly. Somehow they'd all have to pull through the journey together. She wondered when the other leader who was supposed to be sitting with them would show up. She looked at her sister's kittens and grinned. Ferretkit had her infamous tail. Talonkit had his mother's eyes and half her pelt. And Shadekit had Hawkstar's eyes.
Shadekit pushed Talonkit with one tiny black paw. "Shushshuh!" she meowed, narrowing her emerald eyes importantly. "See them cats? They have STARS on theiw pelts! Thwey must be import... importent... importat! Shadekit sat crouched, under her mother's fur. Even though the StarClan cats had appeared, it still had not stopped storming. Shadekit shuddered-- was the forest so bad that the StarClan cats couldn't stop the weather? She frowned.
Mousepaw noticed Tigerpaw's fake smiles-- strange. Why did Tigerpaw seem so jittery all of a sudden? She looked up. Well, the StarClan cats DID seem a bit intimidating. She saw Hawkstar at a Gathering once, but had never seen the other, bigger leader before. Cats seemed in awe and muttered the name "Rainstar" so Mousepaw could only guess that was her name. Mousepaw craned her neck over her shoulder, searching for what may have made Tigerpaw seem uneasy. There-- her rival and enemy, Dropletkit! Mousepaw vowed to be neutral around her during Gatherings, and she attempted to tell herself this was no exception. In her concentration, Tigerpaw half-fell onto her side. Mousepaw jumped up a bit in shock, looking at her friend. [b]"Tigerpaw, what's wrong? What are you looking at?" She muttered, not wanting the rather frightening StarClan cats to think she was disrupting anything. She didn't have a romantic liking to the tom, but Mousepaw considered him her best friend.
Shaei flickered her ears. Two StarClan cats, both leaders, were on the rock now. She recognized one-- Hawkstar. She had taken one of the ginger femme's lives a few moons ago. Shaei looked at the other leader, bored. She didn't recognize her, although she looked a bit like an apprentice seated in the crowd. Shaei flicked her tail, waiting for something to happen. Her ebony fur was sprinkled with raindrops that had gotten through her shelter of thick ferns. A scent unmistakenable floated past her nose, and she felt like sneezing-- Bleedingsoul, or his alias Malice. Shaei turned to him as he padded up to her, her blank amber eyes narrowing slightly and a mirthless smile formed on her ebony maws. "Waiting for something to happen," she meowed matter-of-factly in her calm, cold voice, "Mother dearest Fang says that the forest is dying. And if everyone's moving, I don't want to be stuck behind with all the Twolegs. Would you?"

Dappledleaf kept her facial expression passive, but her eyes shown with a smirk. Not many cats in WindClan liked Verminsoul, and she took a perverse pleasure from that. Her blue eyes cut across accusingly toward Mottledface, but she said nothing. Fine. Let Verminsoul "lead" WindClan. She was going to stay right here at the foot of the rock. There was no way this WindClan-wannabe was going to ruin her Clan.
Her focus shifted to Rainstar and Hawkstar, awe alight on her face. Hawkstar had died barely moons ago...it amazed her to see the great leader now. Dappledleaf's heart clenched. She longed to ask the leader how Littlestar was doing, but she knew that now was not the time. There were other matters to attend to.
[ yes, she is possessive. ^^]
Dropletkit let her eyes linger on Tigerpaw, willing him to look at her. As her eyes connected with his a warmth spread slowly through her body, from ears to tail-tip. It about ripped her heart apart when he forcefully, purposefully turned his head away. Her tail dropped to the ground, and her eyes started to hurt. To keep the tears from coming to her eyes and giving her away, she focused on Tigerpaw's companions.
That single action definitely stopped the fall of tears. A warmth boiled in her belly, though a different kind of warmth than before. This warmth was a burning fire. She had noted that one of Tigerpaw's companions - who he was now talking to - was none other than her little best buddy, Mousepaw. Dropletkit's lips curled up in a snarl. That piece of foxdung was not going to get away with this. With her head held high and steely look in her eyes, Dropletkit stalked over to the ThunderClanners.
"Why, hello, Mousepaw," she spit out, sarcasm dripping from her words. Her words were each enunciated clearly, spit out from her mouth as if they left a bad taste. "How are you? Long time no see, huh?" The young tabby kitten completely ignored Tigerpaw, except to attempt to flick him angrily on the nose with her tail as she passed by. She sat in front of Mousepaw, kneading the ground with her forepaws, a smirk etched onto her features. Her ears were turned to catch every word Hawkstar or Rainstar spoke, but her eyes stayed focused on Mousepaw.

Mousepaw rolled her amber eyes. Did these WindClanners ALWAYS have to come in at the very wrong time? Flicking her ringed tail angrily, Mousepaw looked over her very best friend in the whole forest. She had grown, and Mousepaw was glad she was older than her. If Mousepaw could spit venom like a snake, she'd probably do it now-- but she wouldn't count out biting her in the neck either. Couldn't she get it through her head that Tigerpaw was her best friend? Toms seemed to get a kick out of she-cats fighting, and Mousepaw would hate to let down a tomcat. Mousepaw's tail fluffed up, but her voice remained casual. "Oh, just spending a little time with my best friend since I was kidnapped, Tigerpaw." Mousepaw narrowed her amber eyes, deciding to add a little poison. "I'm doing great. How are you? Still haven't been made an apprentice yet?" Mousepaw flicked her ears and looked over Dropletkit's shoulder purposefully. "Where's your mom? Is she going to protect you from me this time?"

Tigerpaw glanced at Smolderingpaw with an affectionate look. He was glad that she didn't ask him about anything; he admired her mature sense as well. She had always been nice to him when he was an apprentice and he was grateful for that. Even on their first meeting she seemed cheery toward him. However, his attention was switched as he came back to reality. Pressed against Mousepaw's side, the tom's heart beat quick with embarrassment. He quickly pushed himself back to his original pose, shaking his fur clear along with his mind. “N-nothing,” he murmured, taken aback by the StarClan cats still.
His mind and stomach churned as he noticed Dropletkit approaching. Feeling hot with embarrassment again, he simply looked to the side. It was right for her to be angry with him: he left last time without a word. But it wasn't his fault entirely – he was doing it out of good will: to protect her. She barely acknowledged him, and he knew he deserved it, but it still hurt him to be this close to her. They weren't of the same Clan and his conscious raged in his mind about it. They weren't even alone now. Both of their Clans were surrounding the clearing as of this moment and just the idea of being spotted with a cat from another Clan on this night made him uneasy.
He flared his nostrils a few times after she hit him, making him blink a bit. However, the tone Mousepaw used to talk to Dropletkit with made him angry and upset. Mousepaw may have been his friend, despite their playful past with one another, but the way her and Dropletkit spoke to one another made his stomach upset again. “Mousepaw,” he growled to her, regaining him composure. Although in his head he was thinking of many things, on the outside he hadn't even broke a sweat. Portraying himself as a calm, mature apprentice of ThunderClan was his game at this meeting. There was an odd seriousness in his eyes and voice as he spoke and moved though. “You shouldn't insult cats from other Clans. ThunderClan doesn't need to make enemies with WindClan,” he said to her as if it was very important information. But then again, he didn't want to stir up trouble or make himself look suspicious.
The eerie look in the flame-colored tom's eyes was unreadable in this moon's light, but his breathing was slow and concentrated. Shifting his weight onto his other paw, he stepped a tiny bit back so he was in the shadow of a tree. Avoiding to be seen on this night was what he planned to do; he would continue this game on the way when they left, as he expected. But still, he felt protective of certain cats in his Clan and as he thought a small sigh escaped from his lips. “Just don't do anything to catch attention,” he warned her. It was odd for Bleedingsoul to be serious, but he was slowly maturing just like Tigerpaw. Finally, at least.

[[cold.windclan]]
Throughout the commotion, Coldpaw's yellow gaze lingered on the scene Mousepaw, Dropletkit, and Tigerpaw were creating across the way. Cold just blinked, "brow" arching up in a curious fashion. Oh StarClan, they had a lot of issues to clear up, didn't they? Rolling his eyes, the muscular tom turned back to the Great Rock, where his eyes were instantly drawn to the starry cat. Oh...uhm. When did she get there? She obviously wanted their attention. Against the driving rain, Coldpaw shifted his weight, and leaned in to listen to the StarClan cat's words.
[[phantom.riverclan]]
Phantomsoul about jumped out of her fur when Rainstar appeared. The she-cat tried to maintain her composure, but it was hard. The warrior had seen Rainstar before, so this was the second time, and time after time, her reaction never changed. It remained one of awe and astonishment.

Mousepaw wasn't expecting that.
She didn't know that Tigerpaw would side with Dropletkit, of all kittens, even though it was in better intentions. A snarl appeared for a hearbeat on her brown maws before it vanished, to be replaced by a cold and blank look. Mousepaw broke her furious gaze with Dropletkit, admitting defeat. The score's one to one, Droplet, but it's not over til it's over. The still-flaming part of Mousepaw's mind said. Her amber eyes flashed with a whirpool of emotions before looking straight at Tigerpaw. An emotional barrier went up between her and Tigerpaw-- it was thick in the air, Mousepaw's disliking being next to her friend. The brown femme's ringed tail twitched once, twice. "All right, then." Mousepaw's voice was strangely silent, emotionless, bitter for such a usually happy and entergetic she-cat. She took this hard, feeling a mixture of anger and betrayel. It seemed obvious who Tigerpaw had feelings to now. Why was she so stupid not to have seen it before? "It's fine by me. You can side with WindClan, or RiverClan, or all of the Shadowlands cats for all I care." Mousepaw stalked away, pale eyes narrowed as her unsheathed claws scored the ground. Otterpelt would have scolded her, but right now Mousepaw was alone. She stood now farther away from the rest of the ThunderClan cats. Mousepaw's usually spunky eyes were now as blank as the rogue Shaei's as she stared at-- rather, through-- the Great Rock, licking one black paw absentmindedly. C'mon, Mousie. Pull yourself tog-- oh, whatever. Mousepaw thought to herself, wrapping her ringed tail around her haunches.
Shaei's left ear twitched and her half-grin turned into a full, mirthless, emotionless grin and she surveyed the cats. "Oh, don't be worried about me. Being invisible is my strong point." Shaei licked a claw that was covered in dry blood from a rabbit she killed earlier. For once her amber eyes flickered from the crowd to Bleedingsoul. "Look who's talking. Half the Clans know who you are, if not all of them. Your pelt's not even up for sneaking about in." Shaei's calm, billowy voice, like a thousand feathers released in the wind, had a hint of cold humor to it.

Cloudedkit decided to ignore the Starclanner, and probably get in trouble. Until the Starclanner began to actually talk, she would look around and possibly find someone to sit with. She had been sitting alone, and was slightly lonely. Ears pricked, the young kitten's gaze flickered around the array of cats. Then she spotted one that stuck out to her, somehow. Black fur and yellow eyes, an apprentice sat. Her heart quickened slightly, and something about the tom interested her. The she-kit pawed her way over to him, sitting down a few feet from him. She turned her head toward the Starclanners, as if watching them, but turned her eyes toward Coldpaw sometimes. [No, she doesn't know his name, but yea.] She didn't say hi, or introduce herself, but acted like she was paying attention to the meeting. [Meh.]
