Completely unlike a normal kit, Bristlekit is about the size of an older apprentice. Her mother was a Norwegian Forest Cat mix, so Bristlekit's fur is long and beautiful. Bristlekit is strong for a kit, but she has no idea how to hunt or fight for herself. Her base fur colour is pure white, while brown tabby markings cover it. The white is only visible on her face, chest, belly, and paws. Bristlekit's eyes are an intense silver-gray.

Quite unlike most kits, Bristlekit doesn't exactly like to play with kits her age. Even when kits come near her, her neck fur bristles - therefore, she was called Bristlekit. She is a very solitary kitten, and when she is older, she hopes to have a mate who is slightly older than herself.

Yes, Bristlekit does like toms...well, not at the moment. At the moment, she thinks toms her age are just stupid little balls of fluff. But apprentice and warrior toms are much less stupid.

There was once a tabby and white she-cat of RiverClan. Her name was Icewhisper, as her eyes were a bright, icy blue. She was extremely large for a full-grown queen, but RiverClan had come to accept it - her mother had been an escaped kittypet of the same size, so they guessed it had something to do with her ancestors. She was loyal to her Clan, and had to prove herself and her loyalty multiple times.

Icewhisper, however, fell in love with a loner. They kept it a secret, but somehow, every cat knew about this tom. He was pure black with intense silver-gray eyes. Nobody knew his name, not even Icewhisper. She announced to him that she was pregnant, and she never saw him again. Icewhisper was devastated at her love's disappearance.

But Icewhisper had her kits - or, kit. There was only one, a beautiful little she-kit with her mother's peltage. Icewhisper had trouble naming her, so until her personality surfaced, she was called Bandedkit. But soon Bandedkit's eyes opened and she began roaming around the camp, and that's when Icewhisper and the rest of RiverClan realised - she hated to be with cats her own age. She had more fun with older cats. Icewhisper renamed her daughter Bristlekit.

Bristlekit grew extremely fast, and soon she was one moon away from apprentice-ship. Icewhisper was killed in a raid on RiverClan, leaving her only kit alone.

A large figure padded into the nursery, a mouse in her jaws. She could have been mistaken for an older apprentice, taking food to the queens and kits, but she entered and flopped down on a nest of moss, ripping hungrily at the mouse. She had her nest away from others, as Bristlekit did not like other kits. Her longhaired tabby tail swished. The heat was driving her crazy; humidity was making her fur sticky and matted.

"Stupid heat," she growled between bites. "Stupid river, stupid...everything!" Bristlekit finished up the mouse and stood, lashing her tail. Obviously, the Norwegian Forest Cat-mix was angered easily. Her ears were pinned to her skull, her claws were unsheathing and sheathing again, and her silver-gray eyes were aflame with frustration. Of course, other kits would most likely be afraid of this, but frankly, Bristlekit didn't care. She didn't care about them at all.
